【2021 Dollhouse Fair (Steampunk Style)】

Entering a dollhouse for a "3D photo session"

Steampunk Digital held a “3D photo session” in a steampunk miniature dollhouse during the “2021 Dollhouse Fair (Steampunk)” event organised by Hakata Hankyu.

The aim of this project was to allow customers to step inside a steampunk miniature dollhouse at 1/12 scale and enjoy the feeling of being an inhabitant of a dollhouse.

Steampunk Digital was responsible for providing 3D scanning, AR capabilities and a proprietary 3D viewer that displays the images in 1/12th size.

3D Scanning

Each customer who came in for a 3D scanning experience was quickly scanned 360 degrees over their entire body in about one to two minutes.

Once scanned, the QR code is scanned by the customer and can be rotated 360 degrees and scaled in a proprietary 1/12 size specified 3D viewer on the smartphone.
